The federal Lifeline program, which was instituted under the Reagan Administration in 1985, has recently come under fire as a tool to get low-income families to vote Democrat. This attack, targeting the Obama administration and the program as wasteful, fraudulent and an abuse of power, has been backed by Republican Representative Tim Griffin of Arkansas, according to The Huffington Post.

USAC says lifeline eligibility available June 1
